Abstract
The objectives of this cross sectional study were to analyze the associations between quality of food consumption and nutritional status of 2-5 years old children of indigenous peoples in Kasepuhan Ciptagelar and Sinar Resmi. Subjects were 104 children (2-5 years old). Data of quality of food consumption were collected using 24 hours recall questionnaire while nutritional status data were collected through anthropometric measurements consisting of weight and height measurements. Data of characteristics, socio-economic, food availability, and morbidity were collected using questionnaires. The food quality data were processed using a Balanced Nutrition Index of 3-60 (IGS3-60). Data were analyzed using independent t-test, Spearman, and Pearson correlation test. The results showed that there were no significant correlation between quality of food consumption and nutritional status (p>0.05). Subjects with better quality of consumption tended to have better nutritional status as well. There are significant differences between two kasepuhan on parent occupations, food availability, and nutritional status
