ABSTRAK

Unsafe action is one of the direct causes of work accidents, so an effective way to avoid work accidents is to avoid taking unsafe actions. This study aims to determine the relationship of unsafe action with the incidence of burns in blacksmith workers in the village of parlimbatan in 2019. This type of research is a survey research with cross sectional design. The population of the study was 30 blacksmiths in the village of Parlimbatan, sampling technique is the total population, where the sample is the entire population of 30 people. The analysis used is chi square with a significant level α = 0.005, the method of data collection using a questionnaire. The results of the study were 73.3% of workers doing unsafe actions and 70% had burns. Chi square test results for unsafe action with burn events where p value 0.01 <0.005. This means that there is a relationship between unsafe action and burns. It is hoped that this research can prevent occupational accidents, especially the incidence of burns to blacksmith workers.
